Deianeira meets a flirtatious old man who turns out to be Zeus (Anthony Quinn), king of the gods and HerculesΓÇÖ father. Zeus warns Hercules not to interfere with the scheme of Hera, but Hercules is determined to save mankind.
As they journey on, they rescue a scraggly little girl named Phaedra (Stephanie Barrett) from a hunterΓÇÖs trap and she tells Hercules and Deianeira of a short-cut to Mount Ethion. Following her directions, they are confronted by an ugly and evil giant named Antaeus (Mark Newnham) who almost kills Hercules, but Deianeira cleverly figures out a way to defeat him.
